👨🍳 Detailed steps
1️⃣ Preparing
-
Buy ready-made beef slices or use frozen hot pot beef slices, thaw and slice thinly
-
Cut onions, mushrooms, and carrots into thin strips and set aside for scallions
2️⃣ Prepare the marinade
-
Grind onions and pears/apples, and mix with minced garlic, minced ginger, sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, black pepper, water/rice wine, etc. to make the marinade.
-
Stir the beef with all the marinade and onion until each piece of beef is evenly coated with sauce
-
Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (2-4 hours is best, overnight is the most tender)
3️⃣ Assorted side dishes (marinated in advance)
-
Marinated beef can be put into the wok immediately, mixed with mushrooms, carrots, green onions, and a small amount of sauce
-
If adding vermicelli, soak it in water for 10 minutes before adding it to the wok to absorb the flavor with the sauce.
4️⃣ Authentic roasting and cooking methods (two recommended methods)
🥓 Stir-frying method (home frying pan/RICECOOKER)
-
Preheat a frying pan over high heat, add the beef and marinade directly without adding any oil.
-
Stir-fry in batches until the beef changes color and is cooked through (about 2-4 minutes). Do not fry too long to avoid releasing too much water.
-
Add mushrooms, onions and carrots and stir-fry until softened
-
If there is juice, cook on medium heat until half of the juice is dried up, the beef will still be tender and retain some of the Bulgogi juice.
🔥 Korean grilled pan/Korean barbecue pan
-
Spread the beef on the baking tray and grill over medium-high heat until the surface is slightly charred.
-
Place the vegetables, garlic slices and onion segments on the edge of the baking tray to absorb the butter aroma.
-
Roast the vermicelli and shredded radish together or dry them to absorb the beef flavor.
5️⃣ Tips for serving
-
Put it on a plate and sprinkle with multiple layers of toasted white sesame seeds
-
Serve with lettuce rice, fold it up and eat it together, add kimchi, garlic slices and chili peppers, it's super delicious
-
When it is juicy, it is excellent with rice or vermicelli.
-
The vermicelli noodles soak up the sweet beef sauce, remember to prepare an extra bowl of rice!
💡 Editor's Tips
-
The beef must be sliced thinly to be tasty.
-
**Pear or apple puree:** can make the beef extra tender and smooth. If you don’t have it, you can add more onion puree.
-
**Pre-marinating time: **Marinate the night before eating to make the meat sweeter and more flavorful
-
Sesame seeds and sesame oil are added last for the most prominent aroma.
-
If you don't want it to be too sweet, adjust the sugar content yourself. If you don't have mirin, use water or rice wine instead.
-
Just stir-fry in the wok without baking, the beef is not overcooked and the texture is just right
📸 Editor's personal experience
I tried marinating beef tenderloin and pear puree for the first time, and the result was surprisingly tender and smooth. My family couldn't stop eating, and each of us had a bowl of rice with nothing but the sauce. You can even add plenty of your favorite vegetables to go with it, and you don't have to worry about paying the restaurant price!
🏥 Nutrition Tips

Beef protein for iron supplementation + vegetables for high fiber and low fat

-
Parents can rest assured that they can make their own food without worrying about consuming MSG.
